Hot foil printing helps to create relief on the surface of the material such us leather, synthetic leather or paper by means of a hot magnesium plate. Relief can be highlighted with a metallic or coloured foil, and in such case it is called foil stamping.

Embossing produces a relief-type imprint on the surface of a book, certificate, diploma or any other product. This imprint is formed by means of the blind embossing technique, i.e. interaction between two dies where one is raised and the other – recessed.
